Meet Alexis – Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Texas & Florida

Compassionate, trauma-informed therapy rooted in client-centered care

Hi, I’m Alexis. I believe healing begins with connection, connection with yourself, with others, and with the parts of your story that may feel too heavy to hold alone. I’ve spent years walking alongside people through anxiety, trauma, disordered eating, and identity exploration, and I know how powerful it can be to feel truly seen. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that you already carry the answers within you. I’m here to work with you to help you access them.

My Experience

Before starting my private practice, I worked in a wide range of mental health settings: inpatient psychiatric hospitals, residential treatment centers, outpatient programs, and schools. Each space taught me something different about how people heal—and how important it is to meet each person with curiosity, flexibility, and care. I bring that experience into every session, creating a space that’s both structured and deeply human.

My Approach to Therapy

I use a blend of evidence-based therapies to support healing in both mind and body, including:

- EMDR therapy (including extended sessions for single-event trauma) - Helps process trauma without needing to retell every detail.

- DBT - Supports emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and relationship skills; great for intense emotions or feeling stuck.

- CBT - Builds awareness of unhelpful thought patterns and offers practical tools for anxiety, depression, and more.

- ACT - Encourages acceptance of difficult emotions while helping you live in alignment with your values.

- ERP - Reduces anxiety and OCD symptoms by gradually facing fears and resisting compulsions.

- Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy - Designed for trauma recovery, especially for children, teens, and adults with complex trauma histories.

These tools help us develop emotional awareness, explore core beliefs, and gently process experiences. But therapy isn’t just about techniques—it’s about creating a space where you feel safe enough to be honest, challenged enough to grow, and supported enough to keep going.

Who I Support

I work with individuals navigating:

  • Anxiety and depression

  • PTSD and complex trauma

  • Disordered eating and body image concerns

  • Identity exploration and self-esteem

  • Neurodivergence and life transitions

I welcome clients from all backgrounds and identities. My practice is LGBTQIA+ affirming, body-positive, and grounded in social justice. I believe therapy should be a space where you feel not just accepted, but celebrated. I strive to create an inclusive, affirming, and emotionally safe space for all.

Your Journey Starts Here

Healing isn’t linear, and it doesn’t always look the way we expect. Sometimes it’s quiet. Sometimes it’s messy. But it’s always yours. I believe in therapy that honors your pace, your story, and your strengths. You don’t have to do this alone, and you don’t have to be “fixed” to be worthy of care.
